Schools
The Da Capo Foundation, a music school based in London, have spent the last 30 years developing a creative musical curriculum based on the principles of Kodaly and Dalcroze. After many years delivering school partnership programmes, the Da Capo Foundation have now launched whiteboard software for primary schools. All classroom teachers can enjoy following the whiteboard prompts, activities and demonstrations to help every pupil develop fluency in the language of music. Through this playful programme, pupils (and teachers!) learn to read and write music on the stave, pitch, pulse and rhythm, make creative choices, compose and improvise. Social skills, deeper connection, confidence, cooperation and enhanced listening skills are all developed in the process. Research also suggests you will see an overall improvement in cognitive ability, and social, emotional, mental and physical well-being through regular musical activity in your school.
